Intense, intuitive communication, fragile and wild, extravagant, exciting and magical uncompromising music "beyond genres" performed by unique vocalist Phil Minton and renowned tuba player Carl Ludwig Hübsch.
Phil Minton is a top improviser who has been on the contemporary music scene since the 1960s and has been through almost the entire world’s musical avant-garde. His main focus is on singing and wind instruments. His unique vocal abilities are incredible, he can bring many identities to life with his vocals, not necessarily directly human, interpreting natural sounds and inanimate objects in his own way. He surpasses native shamans or beatboxers with his vocal equilibrium. His performance can be called a fantastic sound theatre. He has retained his wild anarchic approach to music even at the age of eighty-five and has not retreated from his wilful attitude, quite the contrary.
Carl Ludwig Hübsch, tuba player, improviser and composer in the field of jazz, improvised and new music. He composes for “active performers” and improvisers, for theatre performances and visual installations. In addition to his own projects such as Hübsch’s Longrun Development of the Universe, Hübsch Acht (octet), Drift and Hübsch’s Primordial Soup, he founded Ensemble X and co-leads the Multiple Joy[ce] Orchestra. He is part of many collective projects and ensembles: in 2013 he composed music for the Einsiedler Welttheater, which involved more than 100 amateur musicians.
