Explosive sound, original arrangements, unique style - all underlined by an unusually dynamic, exciting and funny show for jazz. Their music is raw, unadulterated fun and constantly on the boil.

Soil & “Pimp” Sessions was founded in Tokyo in 2001. Shortly after, they became one of the hottest bands in Japan and a favorite at major festivals. Their international breakthrough came after Gilles Petersonintroduced them to British audiences on his “Worldwide” show on BBC Radio 1. Since 2006, they have appeared at major European festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, North Sea Jazz Festival and Roskilde and continue to strengthen their position.

Soil & “Pimp” Sessions will present both their current Lost In Tokyo (2022) and the greatest hits of their career at the Jazz Dock. The band will play with the line-up of:
