Birmingham became one of the most fertile centres of Asian Underground, and Achanak are it's best export. 14 years ago the band was founded by tabla virtuoso, expert producer and inventive entrepreneur Ninder Johal. His label Nachural evolved in musical empire and was the first to re-import bhangra back to India. Contrary to other pioneer bands, Achanak plays modern state-of-the-art bhangra, electronic trance music with Punjab roots. After Transglobal Underground, Asian Dub Foundation and Alaap, Prague audiences can expect final dose of Asian ecstasy. From Achanak's 8 albums, 6 were platinum and one double-platinum.
